Recently, I have been watching Game of Thrones on my tablet in bed. 1 0r 2 episodes every night have been sending me to sleep to dream of Winterfell, King's Landing and the beautiful rocks which Pyke is built on.
However, there is one small problem with Game of Thrones: it is just too inspirational.
When watching the visionary series in bed I often miss whole scenes and have to rewind to watch them again. I am too busy thinking about how intricate the politics are in the imagined world, or how well the characters are linked through either blood, marriage, or gold.
I find myself counting how many different gods there are and how many religious sects I have seen so far. I have to pull myself away from pausing the show to load up a Google document and begin tapping away at my own fictional world. Game of Thrones is exciting, amazing, and totally, totally addictive.
So far I am up to the 3rd episode of the 2nd series, and I really want to stretch the remaining 7 out until March 31st so I can immediately start watching the next series... but sometimes I can't help but watch more than one in a single night, it is too cold to sleep right now in snowy Kent - you might say that Winter is coming.
